What Is MB WhatsApp?

MB WhatsApp is an unofficial build of WhatsApp for Android. Its developer takes the official app, rebuilds the interface to match the iOS version, adds features Meta left out, and releases it as an APK.

The result is a phone running Android that looks like it is running iOS. Rounded panels, iPhone-style toggles, blue accent colours, the iOS emoji set, and menus laid out the way Apple lays them out.

This is not a superficial colour change. The chat screen, settings pages, contact cards, call screens and status viewer have all been rebuilt. Someone glancing at your phone would reasonably assume it was an iPhone.

Who this is actually for

Two groups tend to use it.

People who like how iOS looks but do not want to buy an iPhone. That is the obvious one, and it is most of the user base.

The less obvious group is people switching from iPhone to Android. Everything else on a new Android phone feels unfamiliar, and having the app they use most look the way it always did makes the transition easier.

Best Alternatives

Fouad iOS WhatsApp — the direct competitor. Same iOS-look concept, built by Fouad Mokdad, generally updated more often. If MB feels behind, this is where to look.

Is MB WhatsApp Safe?

It can be reasonably safe. It cannot be verified as completely safe.

Account bans are a real risk. Using any modified client breaks WhatsApp’s terms of service and Meta looks for them. MB’s anti-ban works, but it is maintained less aggressively than the larger projects, which is worth factoring in if ban risk is your main concern.

Encryption cannot be independently verified. A modified app is built by taking a closed-source application apart. Nobody outside the developer can confirm the encryption path is fully intact. Google Drive backup does not work. Mods cannot use it. You need a local backup stored outside the app.

Back up before every update. Download the newer file and install it over the existing app without uninstalling. That preserves chats, themes and settings.

Verdict

MB WhatsApp exists for one reason and does it better than almost anything else: it makes an Android phone look like an iPhone. If that appeals to you, this is the mod to install.

If it does not appeal to you, there is no strong argument for choosing this over the alternatives. GB WhatsApp Pro has more features. FM WhatsApp runs lighter. Fouad iOS does the same iOS trick with more frequent updates.

The risks are identical to every other mod. Your account can be restricted, the encryption cannot be verified, and updates arrive later than official ones. Looking like iOS does not change any of that.
